PATRICIA MCKEEN, LPCC ( Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), SAP (Substance Abuse Professional)
Title: CEO and Clinical Supervisor
Trish is a gifted healer who ultimately discovered that the answers to most of life's questions are found in a process of taking a brave journey within our own self to access our internal resources to promote healing. Ms. McKeen is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a master's degree in counseling. She is also the owner of A New Awakening, Inc., outpatient center for mental health and addiction. Trish is a certified Chopra Center Instructor in Perfect Health. Trish delivers innovative, fun lectures and coaching on integrating nature's intuitive genius with our spiritual, physical, mental, and environmental well-being.
Trish refreshingly combines her certification as a Perfect Health Instructor from the world renowned Chopra Center with her master's degree in counseling. Her work as a psychotherapist and a business owner help her to speak on integrating your mind/body/ soul/ environment and connections to be in balance with your career and businesses. She skillfully merges her background with her vast knowledge, enthusiasm, and imaginative insights to give uplifting and inspiring presentations.
She also works as a business consultant, and trains people to find their dharma at work. Trish has begun work on her first self help book entitled Corporate Dharma: Going from workplace drama to blissful dharma.
RACHEL M. FELLION, LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
Title: Mental Health Counselor
My work with children and families is my passion. I believe in cognitive/behavioral therapies, experiential play and attachment/bonding theories. I have been working in the field of counseling for 10+ years, working with children and families from the community. I have always wanted to be a counselor since I was very little and I feel privileged to be doing work that I love.
SUNNY LAURENNE, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
Title: Mental Health Counselor
Sunny specializes in family systems, children's play therapy, drama, art, sand play, and logotherapy. She is an Ordained Minister and also works as a life/wellness coach and is a professional organizer. Sunny passion lies in helping clients find deeper meaning and purpose in their lives. She is passionate about dance and yoga. She has been part of the A New Awakening, Inc. team since 2007. ANA provides a setting where I and the counselors are allowed to do what we do best - treat each client holistically to greater healing and happiness.
LEA ODLE, LMSW (Licensed Master of Social Work)
Title: Social Worker
Lea graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with an MSW in 2008. She specializes in using cognitive-behavioral therapies and family systems with individuals, adolescents, and families. She is most passionate about working with clients struggling with addictions and mental illness. Lea is passionate about treating clients and their families through integrated modalities.
ELIZABETH CARLING, LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor) and DOM (Doctor of Oriental Medicine)
Title: Substance Abuse Counselor and DOM
My specialty is holistic approaches to mental and physical wellness including dietary, herbal, and nutritional recommendations, as well as acupuncture, acupressure, auriculartherapy, and stress management techniques.
I have been licensed as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine for ten years, as a LADAC for three years, and as a group fitness instructor with ACE for five years.
My passion is exploring the body/mind connection to aid clients in increasing self awareness, that they may realize their potential for greater balance and happiness. I have the utmost gratitude for my job at A New Awakening as it offers me the daily opportunity to practice compassion, not to mention the honor of being a witness to transformation and miracles.
RENETTA DAWN CANNON, LSAA (Licensed Substance Abuse Associate)
Title: Substance Abuse Counselor and Navigator
My passion is to help addicts still suffering with addiction problems and to bring them to a place where they can become comfortable in their own skin and to love them when they can not love themselves.
I have worked at ANA for 4 years and love every minute of it. Recovery to me means that I will always carry the message of staying clean, especially in my work at A New Awakening.
JULIE RABORN, LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
Title: Mental Health Counselor
Julie graduated with her Masters Degree in counseling from New Mexico Highlands University and has worked with A New Awakening since 2010. Julie is super passionate about using Person-Centered and Existential treatment modalities. She loves helping clients on their healing journey. Julie specializes in working with cleints struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.
Dave Lepori, BA, MA; United States Air Force, Retired
Dave was on the Board of Santa Barbara County California Women's Shelter Services and chaired a Women's Support Group for the Lompoc, California Women's Shelter Services. Dave was formerly a Drug Court Probation/Parole Officer in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. Dave currently works primarily with domestic violence cases and is enrolled at UNM pursuing his LSAA Counselor Licensure.
